on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, our services experienced a temporary interruption due to an unexpected SSL certificate expiration. This was caused by a misconfiguration in our DNS resolution system, which led to an incorrect SSL challenge being issued by our cert-manager.
Upon detection, our engineering teams immediately initiated our incident response protocol. We corrected the DNS configuration, issued a new SSL challenge, and successfully renewed the SSL certificate. This swift action allowed us to restore normal service within 151 minutes.
We deeply regret any inconvenience this incident may have caused. Please be assured that we are taking this matter seriously. We are currently reviewing our DNS configuration and SSL certificate renewal procedures to prevent such incidents in the future. We are also enhancing our monitoring systems to detect similar issues more quickly.
